One of the projects of DSWD is Municipal Talakayan. The Municipal Talakayan is an activity designed to bring local stakeholders to a municipal-level democratic dialogue, the output of which shall be used for planning for local actions going forward. It was conducted in 10 LGU’s. These are:
- Dumarao, Capiz
- Altavas, Aklan
- Lemery, Iloilo
- Bingawan, Iloilo
- Nabas, Aklan
- Buruanga, Aklan
- San Lorenzo, Guimaras
- Cuartero, Capiz
- Tubungan, Iloilo
It has the following objectives:
To increase the local Stakeholders’ awareness on the development status of their municipality.
To provide a venue for systematic face-to-face feedback between local development program/project implementers and the community beneficiaries;
To promote the use of information at the local level to support better planning and reporting outcomes.
